i'd first like to extend a warm welcome to all of you who have made it this far. it is no secret that keeping in touch is not my strongest feature, and as internet communication becomes easier, my excuses for not writing letters, emailing and facebooking become increasingly less adequate. with this in the forefront of my mind, and as i prepare to embark on a 10 month adventure of the south american continent, i have decided to set up a blog.
